Hp Experience Store
Forced redundancy

Shops, Products, Services

My HP printer ceased functioning. I took it to the HP experience store in Sandton City where I had purchased it less than 2 years ago. After a 3 day delay, I was told that there are no parts available "in Africa" to fix the machine. FORCED REDUNDANCY. No help was offered by HP. I insisted on speaking to the store manager (Ronald) who was courteous and eventually agreed that to compensate for this problem, he'd offer a new printer at cost. I had 4 brand new HP cartridges (valued at R780) that the store refused to "credit" - I understand that I had not bought the cartridges at that store but as they are the brand representatives as well as the company responsible for my printer redundancy, I felt it would have been a "good faith" gesture towards a disappointed, frustrated and out of pocket consumer. I had originally gone to HP store directly 2 years ago in the hope of receiving not only a reliable product but also consistent and good service... this was not the case!
