UNHELPFUL CONDITIONS FOR TV REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY

I reported a Samsung TV had stopped functioning on 4 Oct 2013 - sent proof of purchase as requested and then told that I must bring the TV into the store. This is a 40inch LED that had been professionally wall-mounted - now they expect me to have it removed and taken to their store at my expense!? They offered to collect it at a cost of ZAR400 - I must pay to have an item under warranty to be picked up!? Sounds rather odd to me! Anyway I took a trip to my local Tafelberg store and mentioned the incident to them - they assured me that the TV should be collected free of charge by the Samsung repair centre. I sent them my proof of purchase from Dion Wired and they arranged for collection of the TV - they could not have been more helpful! I have to ask myself what is going on at Dion Wired - customer relations policy does not appear to be in place here! Despite knowing that I have a very expensive electrical item not functioning under warranty nobody has even had the courtesy to follow this up! Needless to say I shall no longer be making any purchases at Dion Wired and will use Tafelberg instead.
