I bought a brand new 60" Samsung LED 3D Television on 27th December 2012 from Dion Wired in Gateway Durban. On 31st March the TV was turning itself on and off with no picture or sound. vertical coloured lines were showning on the whole screen. I then went onto the Samsung website to fault find and it seems this is a common problem (apparently it is the TCON board or faulty power supply). I then immediately called Dion Wired and they wanted copies of the purchase/receipt which I provided them. Dion Wired then said that they would send this fault report to Samsung as they are contracted to Samsung for the warranty. Now I get a reference number from Dion Wired to follow up with Samsung - Samsung now say it may take 24-48hrs for a Technician to phone me to see if they can "troubleshoot" the problem over the phone failing which they will then send out a technician to my home to see if they can repair it. If they fail to repair it they will then take the unit away for repair!
The problem I have is that I have no TV and must accept this! I would have expected to get a replacement unit immediately.
Can someone enlighten me on my rights...

very disappointing/frustrating.
