Price Advertised and Price Paid

After consultation with one of their sales persons in store who convinced us to purchase a freestanding fireplace rather that the build in one because of the extra's that is including were as with the build in fireplace everything is extra. So we purchased the better option and save where it is possible. The salesperson insured that the price we see is the price we pay and we trusted him. We purchased the item for R4200 (suppose to be) but when we left the store I checked the till slip and saw they actually charged us R4499 for the item. How is this possible. People be aware the price they advertise is not the same as the price you pay check your slips at all time.
