Shop assistant not offering assistance

I had rushed into the fashion express store in Van Riebeeck road, kuilsriver on sunday morning. After a lengthy browse through the store, I had selected a few items and proceeded to the till. Only then did the shop assistant inform me that the system was not working and that no purchases can be made. I then asked why couldn't he inform me or any other paying customers browsing in the the store when we walked into the store that no purchases could be made. Annoyed with my questioning he ignored me and carried on sweeping. He didn't even bother to check for me if the system was working yet. He had not even offered any assistance and had not even greeted me as I entered the store. Pathetic service.
