I have a side by side Whirlpool which tripped the mains. Whirlpool SA suggested a sub contractor" Executive appliance service". The contractor came out on the 25/09/2013 and replaced a defrost element. I paid him in cash for the part and call out. On Monday the 07/10/2013 the fridge tripped the mains again, the defrost element wasn't working again. According to the Contractor his first response was that it was more than a month so he wasn't responsible, after producing the receipt he argued that it might have been a disfunctional unit? he replaced. Since then according to him he had to order a new defrost element and that will take two weeks, he doesn't answer any call's or SMS's and it is a month later. Whirlpool only shrugs and say contact the contractor. How can there be no replacement defrost elements in this country? This is unacceptable!!! I would really like some satisfaction or refund so I can find my own contractor.
