No returns accepted without a slip

My girl got a pair of boots as a gift from somone. I didn't get a slip from the person cause it was a gift. The boots were to small for my girl so I went up to rage to exchange it for a bigger size or swop the boots for something else. Because I don't have a slip they refuse to swop the boots for a bigger size or for me to take something else. Also the lady who bought the boots for my girl doesn't have the slip anymore. We are now going into summer and I'm siting at home with a pair of boots that is of no use to my child. Its still brand new in its box and bag. Plus the three girls who helped me that day even gave me attitude. So now what do I do with the boots.
