Shoes - manufacturing fault

I recently bought a pair of boots from truworths in June, they are both the same size, I didn't pick this up immediately, since I didn't wear these boots a lot but after about a month I carefully looked at the boots and noticed that the one is slightly bigger then the other, it's probably too late to take them back now, but shouldn't staff check all their stock to stop this from happening, it's not their fault, but it's not the 1st time I had problems with buying shoes there. now i'm sitting with boots I don't even really wanna wear anymore cos its just uncomfortable walking with one shoe that is bigger then the other.
