Disgusting behaviour from all staff members

I went into the cubicle to try on some clothing I wished to purchase, when I saw a blackberry cell phone left unattended in the changing room. I asked the attendant if she saw the previous person who used that cubicle to which she replied 'No", but that she would take the phone and place into her drawer. I told her that was unacceptable and that we should try and call one of the numbers on the phone. This did not happen and when I approached, Jackie, the manager of the store, she responded that that was the way they handle the situation as the 'client would always come back to collect"??? Is it so difficult to just try and find the customer, or at least let someone on their contract list know about it?? How am I to know they got the phone back to the customer? Does this small deed not instil good customer service?? Their unresponsiveness and useless attitude has left me astounded and needless to say, I did not purchase any of the items I actually wanted to buy...
