Pick 'n Pay
Lack Of Feedback Regarding Complaint Lodged

Shops, Products, Services

I recently bought some fresh fish from Pick 'n Pay. It was fish which we never had before but we were told by the gentleman at the fish counter that it was similar to kingklip. My wife wanted to prepare it the next day but it did not smell right when she opened the packaging. She checked the expiry date and since it has not expired she decided to cook it still as it might just be a funny smell due to it being the first time we bought that type of fish. When cooked, she tasted and there was clearly something wrong. I tried phoning the customer care centre but after 10 minutes of holding, I got cut off. The next day I phoned in again to register the concern as I did not know what to do. I could not keep the fish as the smell was unbearable but i surely needed some proof that it was off. The gentleman registered a complaint for me on the 15th of October and told me to wait for someone to get back to me. I was given a reference number but to date no one has called me. Surely rotten food cases must be treated with more urgency than complaints regarding appliances being damaged. I am very disappointment with the manner in which this complaint has been dealt with.
