Stale food

I bought fried battered kingklip and fish nuggets at the fish stall.the kingklip was gone bad as it had a bad smell and was not edible.the fish nuggets were stale.it is unfortunate the i was not in a position to take it back as we had gone quite a distance away from the store.all the lunch purchase had to go in the bin and the family had to go hungry.this is bad had anyone continued to eat the bad food we could have possibly ended up with food poisoning.
