New Phone that lasted a month only

I bought a phone: Nokia Asha 201 at Jet Midrand, Boulders shopping center on the 31st August 2013, on the 4th October the phone just went off, tried switching it on still nothing, tried charging but still it was still off only the buttons had light. So because I was travelling to Limpopo that Friday I took the phone to Jet on Monday 7th with the hope that they will assist me, I was attended by the lady who works with phones her name is Lorraine, she told me to come back Wednesday so that they will take the phone to Vodacare for repaired. On Friday morning 11 October she called me to come collect my phone because Jet don't take phones to vodacere for customers anymore, but why didn't she tell me all along because I'm wasting time and money. So what do I do with a phone that I only used for a month then went dead???
