Pick 'n Pay
Not meeting Kosher community needs

Shops, Products, Services

I frequent this store at least once or twice a week.
on every occasion I have found numerous shelves unstocked or with limited availability. In addition, the selection of kosher products is not extensive.
The store is in the middle of the largest Jewish community in South Africa, with huge buying power.

There is also Kosher World - a fully kosher Shoprite franchise - 1 km down the road, as well as Woolworths Food, and Sandringham spar within 500 metres of Genesis.
Each of these cater h more extensively for the Jewish market, and are better stocked.
I suggest you do some serious consumer research into what the community needs are, and cater appropriately. The Spar Deli which came before PNP was renowned for its tasty and reasonably priced food. Your kosher deili is of very average standard. You also need someone working there who understands the community needs and what products they require & with the imminent arrival of Woolworths to the Genesis center, whose produce and dairy supersede PNPs hugely, I would say your store is in serious jeapordy.
