I bought a sansui plasma tv from hi-fi corp on the 12/01/2013. The tv had started to overheat so much that the entire room would eventually warm up if the tv was on for a few minutes. One sunday my feance' was on her way to the shops and when she opened the door the screen cracked. There had been no physical contact with the tv for numerous hours prior to the incident, so i cannot claim responsibility for the defect. On the 23/08/2013 i returned the tv to hi-fi and was told by the technician at the service dept to take the tv to TTS myself since he had experienced the issue with another customer. I took his word for it and delivered the tv myself, but they just sent me right back to hifi. I then went back to hifi and they booked the tv in for assessment. they told me that i will be contacted 2ce weekly but, after a month they still havnt even phone me so i decided to contact them myself but. they say that the supplier says its impossible for that to happen. they want me to pay R4000 for the repairs to the tv. I then asked for the report from the technician, but the tv had never been sent for an assesment. Eventually the tv gets assessed but, all they do is take photos please help!
