Disgusted with NWJ Cresta!!!

On Sunday, 27 January 2013, my husband and I visited the Cresta NWJ store with the intention of getting my wedding ring sized down. We had initially purchased it from Gateway in Durban, but could not get the ring sized as the workshop was closed for the festive season. We were advised that we could get it done at any other NWJ store across the country.

Upon entering NWJ @Cresta however, we were met with pathetic customer service. The lady who "assisted" us, asked for our proof of purchase, which we were not aware that we needed - All we had was the resizing document given to us by Gateway. She proceeded to ask us in an accusing manner, where we got the doc from. When we answered that it was given to us by Gateway, she stated that we certainly wouldn't be needing that! And proceeded to crumple the slip and throw it in the bin. She then advised that since we had no proof of purchase, we would have to pay in R180. We asked her to call Gateway and obtain the purchase slip from them but she adamantly refused! She further stated that she couldn't claim on the resizing document that the stones were in fact diamonds as we did not purchase it from her store!
Arg! What apalling service!
