Pick 'n Pay
Forced to walk with trolley in rd as exit closed

Shops, Products, Services

I was at Pick n Pay Ottery Hypermarket on Saturday 21/09. The mall is busy with major renovations so I used the back parking area. I was still in store when it was closing time and quickly made my way to the till point. When I wanted to leave using the exit I came from, I was advised by the store security that he has already locked the exit and we had to use the main exit. I was alone with my mom and asked him if he could please open it as my car is parked that side. The security just responded by "NO", he was told to lock and he will not unlock the door again (he then walked off). My mom and I made our way to the main exit. The entire mall is cordoned off due to the building alterations so we were not able to reach the parking lot directly through the mall's outside premises and had to push our trolley along the main road and down a side road to reach the parking bays at the back. I parked at the back entrance for convenience as it was closer to the store bt I ended up having to walk for 10 minutes with my elderly mom to reach my car. I am completely off with the lack of customer services from this store
