Irene Village Mall
Just because they are not covered

On the 23rd of March 2013, I visited the Irene Village Mall, where Park with Spark is outsourced to manage the parking area no prior knowledge of this). Upon exiting the mall around 16:20 at the exit to Ryneveld Rd (across the Irene Farm Village Estate) -
While in the exit lane, there was a strong wind blowing. It had blown the 'lane closed" board against my car doors on the driver's side and the door behind it. I could not get out of the car as the board was lying against my car. I pulled forward and at the exit tried to contact the control room on the parking unit. After several attempts, and with no reply, the cars behind me started to hoot. I proceeded out through the exit. It was raining very hard at this stage and I continued home. I called the customer relations at the mall immediately upon arrival at home.

Long story short. Richard informed me that he contacted Park with Spark and they indicated that they will pay - no problem. I had to get 2 quotes, they submitted to their insurance. Their insurance declined the claim, indicating that they are not covered for this. Now they are only willing to pay my excess for my own insurance, after they promised to pay?
