No Cash Refunds sorry???

I just had a terrible encounter with Baby City East Rand Mall. I wanted to return a pair of shoo shoos i bought for my baby just a little short of a month ago, i saw other shoes at another shop and took those back, in the sealed pack with both my till slip and my copy of my card payment, they wanted to give me a store credit after i requested a cash refund in order to buy the other shoes. I have now also spoken to their customer care department which also tells me the same thing. My child has just gone off nappies and formula, what am i going to do with a store credit??? I think it is disgusting service as for the last 2 years i spent between R2000 and R2500 there a month. Extremely irritated with the service and i will not spend another sent there
