Not Happy with the Service

I purchased goods for 4 pairs of shoes worth R492.99. When I want to return the 1 pair shoes at Rage the Groove Mall I was told that I can only do the returns at the same place where I bought the shoes. Today when go to the same place where I bought the shoes I'm told that I can only exchange or get gift card not cash. Furthermore this Wendy lady tells me that Rage is actually doing the customers a favor by exchanging the goods. I do not understand why the shop was happy to take my money, however when I want return the good for my cash they refuse to give my money back. I'm not happy with this whole thing is not like I purchased these goods on credit.
