On 17.08.2013 I paid my monthly instalment due which was R95.65 at Tygervalley Edgars. I then received an sms on 9.09.2013 informing me that I need to urgently pay my edcon account in order to maintain my positive payment record and good credit reference. I went in to the Tygervalley store on 10.09.2013 to enquire about my outstanding payments and was told that I had not made a payment last month and therefore owed R95.65 as an amount overdue, as well as my instalment due for this month for the amount of R121.86. I informed the cashier that I had, in fact, paid last months instalment and asked that she should please check the system again. When she could not find any record of my August payment I paid the amount in full, R217.51. When I got home that evening, I found the receipt for my August payment. I have now paid the amount of R95.65 TWICE. On 11.09.2013, I e-mailed accounts with regards to this problem and attached all receipts in question as proof of the payment which apparently does not exist on their system. On 16.09.2013, I re-sent the mail. I am yet to receive an acknowledgement of receipt from them and the issue remains unresolved. Needless to say, I am not impressed.
