We regularly shop at Makro and we buy cases of 1, 5ltr cokes on a Monthly basis. Every time we arrive at the pay point there is an issue with the fact that there is no barcode on the crates, after which a packer has to go and find one and return, dependent on how full the store is it take anything from 8-20 minutes for this issue to be resolved. We have complained to the floor supervisors on a monthly basis. My husband personally called the customer care manager on a Saturday after we waited 15minutes and we were promised a solution nothing happened. I personally have told the floor supervisors/manager if the cannot put barcodes on the crates then they must issue each cashier a listed barcode to scan in the event of someone purchasing a case of cool drinks. Last week Saturday I again had had this experience we waited 23minutes for the cool drink barcode, and I was not prepared to wait any longer and ended up leaving the cool drinks and bought it somewhere else. I called the customer care line and spoke to someone in the cool drink section, named Mohammed who promised to call me back with feedback, to date NOTHING has happened!
