Pick n pay Harrismith staff has 0% interest in service. 1st time this week I went to buy a few things and watched as some tills served 20 customers while the till I stood at served 4. The lady doing the bagging had to walk to the cigarette counter on request of a customer and her feet never left the ground. The cashier and her were more interested in chatting than working, and when the 2 people ahead of me wanted to withdraw cash (WORST IDEA EVER!!!) she took forever to count the money out, it took me in the region of 25 minutes to make my purchase!!! 2nd time, 5 staff members around 1 till point chatting and laughing with a customer and showed no interest in getting on with work, I had to wait for the cashier to stop laughing before helping me then she doesn't greet or offer me a bag for my purchase. This is a far cry from when I moved into town and was greeted by 2 staff that welcomed me when I mentioned I was new and gave me directions to various places!! I think I will take my monthly grocery list to shoprite from now on.
