I went to buy goods from Dischem Westgate Roodepoort, when I wanted to pay they did not inform me that their system was offline and when I used my card to pay my account was debited but according to them the payment did not go through, I then was told that their system was down and that they could not release the goods I bought. What infuriated me was the fact that they had another portable swipe machine which they used especially for such occasion, which they tried to use then, but because the first payment did go through on my account their was insufficient funds in my account. I was told that they are sorry but I will have to wait till whenever the system is working and they can see whether the amount has gone through or not. I must then drive all the way back to Westgate to fetch my purchases, no we are very sorry for the inconvenience and we will deliver your goods, no notices that their system is offline and that they can not process card payments. Now I sit with a amount deducted from my account and nothing to show for it. They should have told me that their system is offline, but in the end at least offered to deliver my goods. Their system problem is not my fault
