Waiting for response on damaged boots

I returned a practically new pair of Froggie boots (R1500) to Cresta on Monday. I have had these boots for two and a half months and wore them on about 12 occasions and already the heels are completely worn. Prior to returning them to Step Ahead, I took them to Multiserv to have the heels replaced but due to the rubber used for the heel it couldn't be done. The store attendant at Cresta told me the boots should arrive at their head office in Fourways on Tuesday and it should take 3 days in total to receive feedback. However when I contacted Precious at Head Office on Thursday afternoon she told me that she hadn't received my boots yet. I phoned her twice this morning but she hasn't been available to take my call. I also phoned Step Ahead Cresta (I spoke to Lindi) to find out whether or not my boots had in fact been sent but she couldn't confirm either way. I am still waiting for either Lindi or Precious to contact me with feedback but I am running out of patience. These are extremely expensive shoes from a brand which I have been buying for years. I would like to be in a position to replace the shoes I paid for but currently don't have!
