Extremely bad advertising

Yesterday I was shopping around for a digital photo frame. I finally found one that I like at Hi-fi corp. The price on the shelf said 599 but when I wanted to get it at that price the person on the floor let me know that it is only if you open an account that you get it for that price otherwise it is 699. I asked him how this could be as the price had an account advertisment on saying "open an account and get 36 months to pay" Nowhere did it say that you must open an account to purchase the frame for the price advertised. I think this is very misleading and very bad advertising.
