What you see is not what you pay

I went to the Edenvale branch of Mr. Price Home on Sunday 7 July. There was a shelf containing two carpets with a price label of R459. There were only two identical carpets on this shelf and there could be no confusion that this is the price of the items. The shelf was very clearly marked with the price. When I got to the till I was charged a price of R899 for the carpet. I spoke to the branch Manager about the incident but he had insisted that I pay the system price instead of the shelf price. I have got photo evidence of the price on the shelf and the items on display. I am happy because Mr. Price Home is misleading their customers and not marking their shelves with the correct prices.
