On 25 February 2013 I bought some items from the store. The item in question here is the Samsung HIFI HTD453 H/T/S 5.1CH. When the system was installed by the delivery men I realised that one of the speakers did not function at all. I had a qualified person come to my house to check the settings and he advised me that the system is faulty and that you can even smell smoke coming from the speakers. The very next day I reported this fault with the Sales person (Thapelo) who assisted me with my purchase. Apparently all faults have to be reported within 7 days of purchase otherwise you cannot have the item swapped for a new one but it has to be repaired. Thapelo did not get back to me so I reported this matter to the head office Ellerines. Sylvia, branch manager of Furniture City instructed the sales man, Thapelo to phone me and to ask me to bring the entire system into the store so that they can send it to Samsung for repairs. I refused this as I want them to replace the system with a new one as per the CPA. I heard nothing from them again but discovered that the DVD player has now also packed up. I took the system to Furniture City and they have now sent it in for repairs. 2 weeks
