Kalahari sent me a damaged R4000.000 ca

I had bought a Spiderman EVO 12V electric toy car for my son as a gift. The car costs 4000 on [URL Removed] website. When I had assembled the car and we started using it (for about a day), I noticed that the motor was making a strange grinding noise. I notified Kalahari and they informed me to send the car back to them. Due to the nature of the assembly process, I could not take the car apart as this would mean damaging parts of the car. Kalahari had requested that I bubble wrap the car and send it with their courier company. Kalahari assured me that their insurance would cover any damage or loss of property.
After about 3 weeks, I was notified that there was nothing wrong with the car and that I could either get a 50% refund or have the product returned to me. I opted to have it returned since I did not want to lose 50% and I still wanted the car as it was a gift to my son. On receiving the car yesterday, my wife and I noticed that the car's plastic parts had been scratched and there are noticeable dents on the car. There is also a broken plastic arm which holds panels in place.

I have brought to their attention and waiting on response.
I am disgusted at the level of service.
