Insurance claims not taken Seriously

My Girlfriend Chain was out of my Car, i went to American Swiss Southgate to report what happened, i was told that i should open case, i was sent back and forth relating to outstanding documentation which i had no problem with, but every time i follow up with them they give me the same lame old story we will call you, i guess they will call once i'm dead. Why would they advise Customer's to take out insurance on Jewelry and when somethings happens they don't care and because of this incident i will be closing my account with Markhams.
