My wife opened an account with Edgars a while back at Westwood Mall, the account was opened telephonically via a call center from within the Westwood branch. Being Muslim, she opted for the 6 month interest free plan. To date, she has not paid the account since the monthly statements reflect interest and a 12 month plan. She has not had the time to bring this matter to your attention. What sort of is this? Being Muslim, we refrain from getting involved with interest at all. She specifically stated 6 months interest free when opening the account. I can serve as a witness as I was at her side and guiding her throughout the application. I expect a prompt resolution and that the interest be written off immediately. This surely changes our opinion of Edgars and we will shop elsewhere if not resolved.
