6 Month Interest Free account

I opened my Edgars account in Jan 12, it was a 12 month interest bearing account. I wanted this account to change to a 6 month interest free account and was told that I need to wait for at least 7 months before this could happen so that Edgars can assess by ability to pay. After the 7 months was up I went in store to change the account only to be told that Edgars no longer does 6 month interest free accounts. On Friday I walked into Edgars, Gateway and there were huge boards advertising "Open your 6 month interest free account today" upon inquiry at the accounts dept I was told that they still cannot change my account as this offer is only for new customers. I asked if I could close my account and Open a new 6 month one. I was told that the system would only pick me up as a 12 month interest bearing acc holder.

I want a 6 month interest free account, I was told to wait for absolutely nothing by your foolish accounts department. Their service and people skills are atrocious and they simply blame "The System" for breaking their promise.
