6 Months Interest Free Account

Hi,

I recently opened an account with Edgars only to be informed after I opened my account that I am on a 12 months interest bearing account. I would rather pay more every month and convert my account to a 6 months interest free account. How can this be rectified? Both my parents have 6 months interest free accounts and I wish to be on the same account plan.
