Awful customer service!!!

I ordered books as a gift before 12:00 on a Tuesday, under the promise that I would receive next day delivery (I am in a main centre according to the website). I received an sms that my order was dispatched on the same day.

By Thursday morning, the order still hadn't arrived. I was going away the next morning & needed to take the gift with me, so I called the help line. I was assured that the item was on route & would reach me before 5pm that day.By 15:45, I still hadn't received delivery, so I phoned again. This time, the consultant promised to call the couriers, follow up & call me back. He never did. I waited until 17:00, but no delivery was made, so I tweeted about it.

The next afternoon, I got a call to apologise & say that the item could be delivered to my destination. Not only is that too little, too late (I already had to buy an alternate gift), but I was on the road & so had no address to give.

I was not only mislead by the website, which states "Delivery to main centres is GUARANTEED within the specified time frame only after payment confirmation", but none of the THREE consultants I spoke to offered a solution or actually helped me.

Will never use kalahari again!
