Ran over by a delivery trolley: knocked off feet

Shops, Products, Services

On Wednesday Morning at 11:00 AM I went to our local Pep Stores Branch at Village Square, Randfontein. I was squatting next to one of the shelves when a delivery trolley, stacked so high with boxes that the person pushing the trolley could not see where he was going. He knocked me over so hard that I fell on the floor. He said "sorry, sorry" and continued pushing his trolley towards the storeroom. When I paid for my merchandise I saw a guy behind the counter playing on his cellphone and I asked the cashier whether it was the manager. She confirmed that it was and I asked to speak to him after my transaction. He asked me what the problem was. I was still standing by the counter. Privacy would have been nice. I however told him about the accident. He apologized and said that the delivery guys are not part of Pep Stores. He passed the Buck. I told him that delivery is taking place on the premises of Pep Stores and that there should be safety measures and guidelines in place. He promised to talk to the guys. Neither did the guy who knocked me over, nor the manager have the decency to ask me whether I was hurt. I was hurt and embarrassed. I mean really!
