Paying but the balance keeps going up

I have bought a fridgde on credit at lewis on january am paying R465 every month and have realised recently that my balance, instead of decreasing it keeps going up. on Friday I went to pay this month's instalment at their branch in jhb cbd, and i tried to enquire this with the cashier who was helping me she was very rude and had attitude, told me to go en ask that at the branch i opened an account at. Asked for the manager and reported the behaviour of the cashier to her, she didnt apologise or anything instead she just told me that, thats how it is, they add insurance and service fee every month and that i should pay more for my account to decrease. i just dont understand why should i pay if the balance is gonna keep going up and why they ddnt tell me this prior to me signing the contract with them. Am so unhappy with this and i will never again open an account with them. Just wanna pay off the stupid account and get rid of them.
