Cannot buy airtime

Got a gift card, went to buy airtime at CNA was told i cannot buy airtime with gift cards called customer care was told the same thing i then asked why? she told me that they sell airtime for the providers and that they are third parties. i then asked her if i could buy anything in the store with my gift card even any network cell phones its ok she told yes then i asked whats the difference with airtime? i asked her again i could buy airtime with my store card and take 6, 12, 20 months to pay its ok it does not make sense i made my self like a to stand in a long line only to be told that i cannot buy airtime i also told her it does not state anywhere on the till slip that i cannot buy airtime with gift cards she could not answer me iam very unhappy about all this and the inconvience this all put me threw
