House and Home are worse than pathetic

House and Home have got to be the worst shop that we have ever set foot in. About 3 weeks ago my daughter bought a Plasma TV stand at the Boksburg branch of House and Home from a person called Precious. She paid the R4500 in cash and was promised that the unit would arrive during the week. We told her that we would collect it the following Saturday but that they must check it to ensure that it is in good condition. When we arrived to collect it we found that it had not been checked after we called in during the week to ensure that it had been and we were told that it was checked and that it was fine. We had hired a bakkie but we could not take the unit due to it being in such bad condition that a salvage shop would not take it. We demanded our money back and promised never to set foot in this junk shop again. We then had the exact same experience at the Benoni branch which just goes to show that their service is really pathetic.
