Failure toi pay back my refund as promised

Tuesday, the 21st May I went to Mr Price to return an item I bought, I paid it with my Fnb Debit card, so now i gave them back the item and i was supposed to get cash. The cashier told me that since I paid with a debit card they were not going to give me back the cash they will deposit it back into my bank account, the amount of R79.99.This guy who was helping me said its gonna take 24hrs for the money to be in my account. Until today I havent received my money I went to Fnb to check if there wasnt maybe that amount deposited and not cleared and they said no so Iasked for a bank statement as proof and I went back to Mr Price. The guy who I supposedly think was a manager an Indian guy told me to go to my bank and ask for my money they dont have it with them and I mustnt come to them with this again. I am unemployed and I need that money ASAP.Please help.
