Haven't heard back on complaint

I filed a Hello Peter complaint on 6 May on a filing cabinet which was sold to me without the necessary additional parts to actually use it as a functional file cabinet (which are not available anywhere else for sale either). The @home representative phoned me the next day to follow up, and said she would ask the buyers to try and source the needed parts, without which the credenza is unusable. She also said she would phone back the next day to confirm, but I have heard nothing - presumably this means they can't help me, and don't want to take the credenza back? So I assume I should just give up on the R900 I spent on the credenza at this point, and either throw it away or get resigned to the fact that its only going to be 'ornamental', as the sales person put it? Really hate how unaccountable South African business is.
