5 Phone calls, 2 emails & ADT still have my money

On 11 Feb 2013 I called ADT to cancel my service. The agent advised me to email a cancellation letter. I did so immediately. On 2 Apr 2013 ADT collected a debit order from my bank account, as the contract was cancelled this is. I called their call center where the agent asked me to email the letter through again, as the request was never processed. I did so while on the line and the agent confirmed receipt thereof. The agent said I would be refunded the debit order as well as a pro rata of the radio license fee.

2 weeks later they money had not been refunded. I called again to complain. The agent confirmed the letter had been received on 11 Feb, but still no action had been taken. I insisted that someone correct the problem immediately, but was kept on the line for over 30 minutes and was passed around from person to person with no resolution. I called back the following day and had exactly the same experience. Eventually I was called back and the lady promised the money would be refunded in 2 working days. It is now over a week later and still no refund. ADT also appear to have no formal complaints process and dont care about their customers finances.
