I asked for a consultant to come see me asap as I had recently been a victim of burglary. After a quotation, I wanted to install the alarm sytem immediately. The consultant advised that I pay a deposit of R1460-00 immediately if I wanted them to install immediately. He accompanied me to the bank and I provided him with proof of payment that very day. I never heard from him since and after a couple of days, whenever I called him or the call centre I was given different stories and they were not certain as to when it would be processed or my alarm installed. Given the urgency of my situation I decided to cancel, my order and go with another company that my body corporate recommended and that was willing to cater for my needs. I again contacted the agent and the contact centre, they were again difficult, then eventually said that I should send an email to custimer services and the agent requesting a cancelllation. I did so but never got a response. The consultant called me after a day and insisted that I not cancel. To date, they have refused to cancel my order and refused to reund my money already paid. All calls to them must have been recorded. I have proof of all correspondence too
