I again contacted ADT. After 3 attempts I finally managed to talk to someone, who couldn't help me and put me through to another person. After holding on for ages I eventually put the phone down and called again. I insisted on speaking to a manager and was put through to Anisa Siwa. I said that I wanted the money repaid immediately. She told me that I will receive my money back in 4 to 6 weeks and that they will look into refunding my admin fees. I received an email the next day to say that they confirm that my contract is cancelled on 9 December 2013, this despite my having informed them on 28 October 2013 that my contract should be cancelled and giving notice for 30 November. They end the letter with, 'Please note that we are providing this document with a view of achieving an amenable resolution of the matter'. The point is that my contract was cancelled on 30 November and not 9 December and they took money from my account without my authority as the contract was cancelled. This last sentence is nothing more than a bullying tactic by a large company.
