Emailed Chubb in Aug wrt to the high fee & for not receiving any prior correspondence wrt this. Ref for email - Service Reference 00036339 on 7 Aug 2013.No one got back to me. Called on 12 September 2013 spoke to Anthea Sedgewick she was helpful she said that i'm paying for the cell monitoring service (R49.00) that i never used&the salesman that came to my house told my husband&I that it was free. Anthea requested I send an email to cancel the service&the request was escalated to a manager. I mentioned that ADT could offer me a better rate at R295.00, i asked if they could better my rate as i pay R397.00 p.m. A manager then called (12/09/13) told me they would need to investigate. Requested that the manager assist with the lowering my premium as this was done for a friend of mine. She could not assist me, was told only look at lowering my premium if i was retrenched or suddenly became disabled. mentioned i would need to ensure that i pay the cancellation fee as i would be in breach of contract. Where is the retention skills or are sales people doing such a stunning job of selling their products under false pretence that they don't mind losing clients. Someone please take ownership
