ADT: terrible service

Had a 3 year contract with ADT (didn't realise that till I wanted to cancel.) After many no responses after my alarm went off, had another experience: alarm went off during the night, they phoned, I requested the armed response, they arrived more than 2 hours later! I decided to cancel: sent email 28 Jan '13 cancelling my service, thought I had to give month's notice. ADT responded same day, said someone will contact me within 24 hours. Nobody did. Kept on trying to contact them, sent more emails May, June, absolutely no response.

At last: got a response June '13, informing me I have to pay 30% of the remaining months' costs of contract (until Oct '13), but charging me full price for March until June. I cancelled by email 28 Jan 13, they acknowledged receipt of my email, I paid until end Feb, but because it took them until June '13 to reply, I have to pay full price for March - June 2013!

I replied, pointing out that I cancelled end of January 2013, why am I being charged in full for March until June 2013? No reply! Tuesday, 13 August, I paid the amount they demand and promised that I will communicate further with them through the Internet. Still .. no reply!
