Billed for services that I am not aware of

I took insurance policy with first for woman November 2011 when I bought my car, I was referred to altech by the consultant. Indeed someone called me. They said they will further communicate. When my car arrived I remeber I got the sms that the device was installed in my car but they told me they were going to call me and arrange a check up last I heared from them, I decided to cancell the policy with first for woman end of December because I found something cheaper. Mid December someone called me from Nestar (that was before I decided to cancel the policy) I told the person I will be in Bloemfontein, so he said they had branches there too, so he will arrange for that check up. I waited for communication since then, 8 month later, I was not paying for tracker and I did not have proof that I had tracker on my car, very uncomfortable. So I decided to contact another company to install their device in my car. Only after then I started to receive calls from their rude lawyer who were never interested in hearing my story. They threatened to take my account to credit, they said to me I had to pay for those months. I paid never the less. I now have to still pay? For what?
