Call centre repair frustration and cost

I had lunch with my brother about 2 months ago and he told me his frustrations with ADT. He has been with them since they were Total Highway in Pinetown. He had problems with his alarm and phoned the call center. He found out he was in Cape Town call center. He told them he needed someone in Pinetown, whereupon they promptly transferred him to JHB! He eventually got a call for a repair logged, but nobody turned up. After a week he phoned again and was rebooked, but again nobody turned up. There is more to the story than this, but to cut a long story short, he asked for the Pinetown MD's name to speak to him. He left a message, but again the MD this time did not have the courtesy to return the call. Eventually, someone turned up to do a repair, but by this time he had enough and went to Blue Security who offered him a 40% cheaper pensioners rate. Needless to say he is now with them

All this would have been amusing, except that I had the SAME EXPERIENCE with the call center the previous month. They sent me to CT, JHB and back to CT. It takes over a week for a repair. Who will be responsible if there is a break-in during a breakdown, ADT or me? The insurance won't pay!
