Why is it so difficult?

I have been trying to cancel our contract with ADT for 6 weeks. After numerous phone calls to their call centre, numerous emails to, ironically, always there.i@adt..., and emails to cumstomer call centre employees directly I still do not have any official confirmation that our service is cancelled. The service is non existent, customer concern not a priority.
