I had a contract expiring 7 nov, and i sent an email in july 2013, advising that i want the contract canceled and number moved to prepaid. i got a confirmation email that it will be done. as i do not use the number myself, i assumed this was done. now i find out this was not done and the number is stil on contract, and when i call the call centre, am told should call during working hrs, and when i call during working hrs, am told i cant speak to the retention person who sent me the email, but they will call me. in the meanttime i am told my account is in arrears, and no one in the call cetre is helpful. why am i forced to pay mtn when some1 was supposed to just cancel the contract, when i have confirmation that the contract will be cancelled?
i have sent emails via mtn active, called the call centre and put on hold for 35 minutes. i need some1 from mtn to explain this to me and have my issue sorted please. i do have the emails i got and reference numbers. to make matter worse, i didnt get the normail invoice showing payment due, as i always did during the term of contract, but only find out am in arrears when i call the call centre!!!
