HD PVR Cyclic Reboot

My hd PVR has a cyclic reboot issue. I have found a number of complaints on the internet whereby customers complain of the same concern on the Pace 4tuner decoder. I have had a number of phone calls to Multichoice and a visit to the Randburg branch to try and resolve the issue and the only solution that I have been offered is to pay 500 odd rand for an exchange. The level of interaction has been weak in that I needed to explain to the consultants what a SAtCR LNB is and how to set up the decoder. The only bit of potential assistant that I got was Randburg whereby I was advised that they will find out form the manufacture what the cause is and get back to me but that did not materialise. In my view even though the decoder may be out of warrenty, if there is an inherent design or quality concern with the decoder, the customer should not bare the cost. Alternatly, if the cause is due to outside circumstances such as use, power surge or lightening then the customer should be informed of this, so that he can take it up with his insurance. So the only option as confirmed by Nomhla Mkabane is to pay and get a replacement unit, this is weak customer service.
