Cash payment not allocated for 3 yrs and 10 months

I have complaint here late last year about a cash payment that I made to Multichoise on 3 March 2009. They have only come back to me and said I have been using the wrong reference number, I have a letter from them, with that reference that I used on (indicating that that is my reference. I have in the past notice that the 0 was left out on the following letters from them, and indicated to them that I think the problem could be because of that, They choose to ignore me. We are going on to 4 years that this money hasn't been allocated to my account and all I get from them is that they will look into it... HOW LONG DO THEY NEED TO LOOK IN TO THIS???
Do they expect me to just let go of this matter, well I am not!!! I was just wondering if they are going to pay me interest on this money??? This is really getting out of hand and I am getting upset, with all their excuses.
